Process - steps to get you online!

Send us an e-mail at webdesign@bowvalleyweb.com to get the process started. Just give us an indication on what type of site you would like, how much content you forsee being on it, and what your goals are for the site. If possible, include links to other sites that are similar to what you would like your end product to be. At this point we will be able to give you a rough quote and timeline for your project. Once the specifics are agreed upon, a 50% deposit will be required before we start working on your site, with the remainder due upon completion.

In order to get the site built, you will need to provide the following:

• Any other advertising media you have such brochures, business cards, logos, slogans, posters, etc. If you have no other advertising products, we can also work with you to create logos and other graphics.
• Some ideas about what you want the site to look like. This includes things like colors and general layout.
• Digital photos of your facility, staff, services, products, or anything else you would like to have photos of on your site. If requested, we can provide a professional photographer for an additional fee.
• Written descriptions for each section of your website. This will be the text that appears on your site, so spend some time thinking about it and try to get your point across with as few words as possible. With your permission, we may make small changes to the wording in order to help your site show up higher in search engine results.
• All contact information that you would like visitors to your site use.

With our help, a website address (eg. www.yourname.com) will be chosen & registered, and a hosting service set up. This will cost roughly $120/year and will be billed by a 3rd party hosting service. The web hosting service will also provide free e-mail accounts which we will help you to get set up.

Once the above steps are completed we will build you your website! This generally requires some back and forth communication as we tweek the design and content to your liking.

The most exciting part of the process! Once all changes are made and you are happy with your site, we will get it online for the world to see! We will submit your site to be listed on popular search engines such as Google and Yahoo free of charge. Extra online advertising services can be arranged upon request.
